    On Tuesday 8 October 2024, the French Ministry of Defence awarded the Prix de l’Audace 2024. And it is with huge honour that we announce that HT4 thermal camouflage fabric has been named laureate of the Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA), and has been awarded the Defence Innovation Agency label.

    The Ministry of Defence’s Prix de l’Audace

    Funded by the Fondation Maréchal Leclerc de Hauteclocque and organised jointly with the Agence de l’Innovation de Défense (AID), the Prix de l’Audace is awarded every two years to 8 projects designed to improve the operational capabilities of the armed forces and the way the institution operates.

    The 2024 laureates

    Joint defense staff :

    • “SORCIER”: an innovative mobility solution
    • “SIM-TRIAGE”: simulator for combat medicine training.

    French Army :

    • ‘LOTAK”: educational tool for creating training minefields using artificial intelligence.

    French Navy:

    • “Telebriefing cap”: a cap to protect the telebriefing cable, essential for operating the Caiman Marine.

    French Air Force:

    • “PRESAGE”: debriefing system for tactical missions including ground-to-air threats, with simulation of all types of threats that an aircraft may encounter. This system can also display the trajectory of ground-to-air missiles in 3D.

    Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA):

    • “PIKS” (HT4): technology enabling the concealment of personnel, weaponry and vehicles in the face of various threats (thermal monocular, fighter plane optronic ball, drone, etc.).

    General Secretariat for Administration :

    • “RESISTANCE”: disconnected applications that can be used in areas without an internet connection and without leaving a digital footprint.

    Gendarmerie nationale :

    • “NéoDK”: a digital fingerprint capture device installed on smartphones, enabling fingerprints to be taken on the move while reducing processing time and improving quality.

    The HT4 technology has been awarded the AID (Agence Innovation de Défense – Defence Innovation Agency) label and has been named the Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA) laureate of the Prix de l’Audace 2024. Recognised for its efficiency and innovative nature, HT4 technology has been congratulated by the French Ministry of Defence, the DGA, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Defence and Veterans, and the Director of the AID.
